Bill introduced to ban the burning of coal from mountaintop removal mining in North Carolina.

Write/call now your NC legislator.  Tell them to pass this bill!

It's also important to contact committee members to move the bill.

The bill is currently in the Committee on Public Utilities.

It will then move to Environment and Natural Resources.

Next "No More Coal/Nuclear BOYCOTT Parties"

planned in Asheville:

- June 29, Firestorm Cafe, 48 Commerce Street

- July 20, Phil Mechanics Studio, 109 Roberts Street (Mapquest)

Both events will be 8-10 pm with "lights out" at 9 pm for the BOYCOTT.

Bring musical instruments,

poetry and friends.

Don't forget to participate in the "lights out" coal/nuke BOYCOTT every Sunday night 9-9:15 pm.  Also, let us know if you're organizing a "lights out" party or rally.
